C2 BMW Concept Car

Is it a car? Is it a space ship? No, it’s the new BMW concept car! Yes, BMW has a new version of the older Nazca C2 concept car created by Italdesign in 1991! There’s really not much different about the older version compared to the newer version except the body style. Here’s some info on the older Nazca C2 for those of you who aren’t too familiar with it. It was created by the famed automotive engineering company Italdesign and has some iconic BMW elements. It has a neuromotion FC6 engine from BMW and produces 660 horsepower and its top speed has reached about 185 mph. It’s a quick little thing! Italdesign also created a race-spec version of the Nazca C2 for the 1992 Tokyo Motor show. Following the race-spec version was a Spyder model that came in 1993.

Dutch designer Sabino Leerentveld brought back the Nazca C2 supercar in a new form and shape. This included a fresh design, sculpted aerodynamic flanks and an EfficientDynamics-inspired nose and pillars that are secreted behind a massive glass house. It’s a real slick car if I do say so myself! The newer Nazca C2 measures 4400mm long, 1990mm wide, 1110mm high and has a 2710mm wheelbase. It is also said to have a very luxurious interior.

So, what do you think? Does this car show that the demand for a BMW supercar is high?? Could you see yourself driving one of these in the future??
