Originally introduced by Volkswagen in 2008, the new CC is a four-door-coupe version of the company”s famed Passat, and it offers great looks at an affordable price. While this is all well and good, it left us wondering; would the CC be more than merely a Passat wrapped in attractive sheet-metal?

The CC is Volkswagen’s new four-door coupe that Volkswagen describes as combining sports car dynamics and dimensions with sedan comfort. Volkswagen CC calls the “four door coupe” for those who need some of the usability of a family sedan, but want to design something exciting. Reviewers agree that predict a sharp looking car inside and out, but that its performance does not equal the look and finish more expensive.
Introduced last year, the CC has much of its architecture with the Volkswagen Passat success – in fact, to sell this car as the VW Passat CC in certain countries. It is available with a choice of engines – a popular turbocharged four-cylinder model and a stronger V6 that few reviewers think it is worth its price. The Tiguan, like the full line of 2011 Volkswagen models, is covered by the no-charge Carefree Maintenance Program. Under this program, all scheduled maintenance, as described in the vehicle’s maintenance booklet, is covered for the length of the New Vehicle Warranty – three years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
